The Try-To-STOP TOBACCO Resource Center of Massachusetts serves the general public, tobacco control professionals, educators, health care providers, and others who want to reduce tobacco's heavy toll on society.
Established by the Massachusetts Tobacco Control Program and funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Resource Center is home to four interconnected services:
- The Tobacco-Free Helpline is a gateway to the vast array of tobacco control services offered to Massachusetts residents by the Massachusetts Tobacco Control Program.
Our toll-free helpline offers information on tobacco along with free telephone-based tobacco treatment counseling through the American Cancer Society Quitline. We also refer callers to local tobacco treatment programs. Quit Tips are available 24 hours a day. Services are available in English and Spanish, with translation for other languages. People who are deaf or hard of hearing may call our TTY line.

- The Tobacco Education Materials offers low-cost tobacco education materials (pamphlets, posters, etc.) to tobacco control programs and health care providers in Massachusetts and to other organizations around the state and elsewhere.
- The TRYTOSTOP.ORG Website provides tobacco information, quit-smoking assistance, and related links. The site features the Quit Wizard, a self-paced, interactive program that guides the user through the entire cessation process, from making the decision to quit to preventing a return to tobacco use. The Quit Wizard is a state-of-the-art, user-friendly tool for tobacco users who want to quit on their own.
